Having previously been involved in ‘in-house’ CSR staff initiatives, I undertook a piece of CSR work on a pro-bono basis.

I got to know the organisation – a small charity who did not have the resource or budget for HR expertise – and used my own experience to engage and gain the trust of those I was carrying out the work on behalf of.  I then set about advising on and implementing a restructure of the management and operations teams, ensuring compliance and most importantly fairness.  This resulted in the outcomes the charity wanted but had not had the expertise to execute themselves.  The work provided equated to around £17k.
